let's hear it for the horns

I am used to hearing (and feeling) the bass of random music streaming from cars as they pass in front of the store. It's not a very nice thing, to actually feel the bass from a passing car. Just a second ago, another loud musical car passed by. This time, big band-y. No bass (yes!) but the horn section.

With the sun shining as it is, it seemed right. It made me smile.

How did you get so lucky with the big band music? I was driving back to the motel here in Manhattan when I feel this booming bass. While I am not one to want to destroy someone else's property, I could make an exception in this case. I wish there was some device that would turn down their volume or switch their music channel. Oh well, I will just have to dream about it.

Seattle has recently installed some AUDIO monitors, complete with Traffic Camera to enforce noise ordinance rules.

I think it's genius.

$75.00 fine too for being noisy after certain hours at night and in the AM.

Big brother-ish? Sure... but fine by me. We live on a 35mph road, and I'm so tired of being woken up rap music at 2am.

I also hate the loud bumping bass, which I tend to hear a lot during the summers at the shop. I mean if you're glass is rattling turn it down. Idiots.

My favorite was the day a man stopped at the light and he had ol' blue eyes blaring on his stereo. It made music from cars not seem as obnoxiously bad.
