I started debating with myself a little while ago. Do I write about knitting here or start up another blog specially for that? You know, I have to say that after much thinking and taking into consideration all the feedback Kev has gotten from people like, say, Russ, I've decided to keep it all here, for now.
My suggestion will be to those, again like Russ, whom do not find themselves particularly jazzed about my entry for the day (when it is about knitting) they just check back the next day or so to see if I've updated with other non-knitting stuff.
My reasoning behind keeping it here is simple. It's part of our world. I knit. Kev plays video games. Josie, Chloe and Simon do a combination, eatsleepshitplay(but they still don't speak Spanish fluently). We're really not all that exciting.
Excuse me, but a certain little baby girls hat is calling my name and I am being told to knit.

Isn't the blog yours? If so, it seems appropriate to post what is interesting to you. Sure, some folks will get bent out of shape. That's their choice.
btw, I don't recall Russ leaving any comments. Perhaps I missed them. Perhaps he is posing as someone else. Perhaps he likes lurking. Perhaps I should find out his blog where he posts photos of his fantastic family. I would love to see them.
Perhaps I should quit now.

I agree - it's your blog! Do what you want! Write about what you like & what' you want to! That's the WHOLE POINT. Knitting needles have points. Hm.....

i agree with yer dad and jen. it's yers, and you should be able to cater to YOUR needs, not us fellow bloggervillians.
as you well know, i jes went thru the same thing with my other new blog. personally, i created it as a standalone ONLY 'cuz i felt it would be cooh to give it it's own fresh start, decent layout, and own identity...
now, i may post creative stuff aside from jes' sketchin's too.. (I'm an avid writer too) but who knows! that comes back to the "it's my blog" thing!
you keep on it. keep on yours, and make it how you want it to be. i'm jes glad i'm along for the ride.
