I was told yesterday that something I had created "sucked." Now, knowing the person that said this, I am not 100% angry or ready to tear eyeballs from sockets, however I am ready to tell this person that another version of sucks could be "not your best work." It is a little less hurtful and not quite as heavy a blow to the ego.

It is interesting how some people have such small vocabularies, and are also insensitive.

it's what YOU think of your work, your efforts and possibly your "end user's" that carries weight.

Perhaps we could bring back the idea of "Finishing School" so folks could learn the subtle art of not being a jerk.
I have some candidates for the 2007-2008 class of such a school.
